Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference

Very exciting.

I want to thank my daughter Elizabeth. She inspires life long learning.

Thanks to James Brundage, of the PowerShell team, for making the nomination. To Jeffrey Snover, father of PowerShell and Bruce Payette for implementing such a great and fun language.

Also thanks to the PowerShell tribe, community. The MVPs I’ve interacted with, podcasts I’ve been invited on and the great blogs and resources the community have created and contributed to.

Finally, thanks to my colleagues at Lab49 who have challenged me to deeper thinking about PowerShell.

And now, The Snoopy Dance

Congratulations !

You certainly deserve it.

Doug,

Congratulations! You worked hard for it and your enthusiasm for PoSH is infectious. As I will never forget, “it can read from a file!”. Turns out it can do quite a bit more as you have shown :-)

And I must say, I’ve never imagined that one could combine Robert Frost, PowerShell and Snoopy into a single blog post. Well done!

Doug, you need no congratulations — you were already a Powershell MVP for many of us.

So my congratulations go to Microsoft for finally figuring that out, but I have to ask — what the heck were they waiting for!?

Grant 04.22.09 at 8:07 pm

Well done Mr Finke! Inspiring!
