HERE is the PowerShell code I demoed.
It was a good group of people. Lately the groups have focused more on, how would I accomplish this task in PowerShell rather than hey that looks like Perl. Plus, the entire group heard of PowerShell and most had tried writing and integrating with it.
A few attendees were either inheriting systems that have a PowerShell component or are hearing rave reviews from colleagues and wanted to check out PowerShell for themselves.
At the camp I saw someone presenting “How to Embed IronPython in C#”. It may be time to add “How to Embed PowerShell in C#” to my presentation.
In other news, Jeffrey Snover, creator of PowerShell, got kicked upstairs to his new role as Lead Architect of Windows Server. I expect this to be good news for PowerShell. PowerShell integration across the boards? PowerShell V3 features? Windows Server 2009 written in PowerShell?
IIRC, when Mr. Snover became distinguished engineer he attributed it to Microsoft management recognizing what PowerShell brings to the table.
Congratulations Mr. Snover, looking forward to what may unfold.
