PowerShell, Now Integrated with Snoop, the WPF Spy Utility

by Doug Finke on October 6, 2012

Snoop 2.8.0 was announced. The highlight, integration of a PowerShell console.

My colleague, Bailey Ling, implemented this feature after reviewing one of the chapters in my book, “PowerShell for Developers”, showing how to embed a PowerShell console into your application.

Integrating PowerShell Consoles

Integrating PowerShell with your application is straightforward, here is the code from chapter 5 in my book.

John Cook reviews my book and the topics I cover.

  • code generation
  • static analysis
  • interfacing with C#
  • embedding PowerShell in your application
  • working with XML and JSON
  • interfacing with Excel
  • creating DSLs
